Ingredients:
For the pastry dough:
- 225g plain flour
- 30g icing sugar
- 150g cold butter, chopped
- 1–2 tbsp cold water

For the filling & decoration:
- Chocolate spread
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 100g white chocolate
- Neon Orange Oil-Based Food Color
- Neon Green Oil-Based Food Color
- Wicked Witch Sprinkle Mix
- Trick or Treat Nonpareils Mix
- Candy Eyeball Sprinkles

Instructions:
Step 1. Make the pastry dough
1. In a large bowl, mix together plain flour and icing sugar.
2. Add in the cold chopped butter and rub it into the flour mixture with your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs.
3. Add 1–2 tbsp of cold water and use a palette knife to gently bring the dough together.
4. Lightly flour your work surface and knead the dough briefly until smooth.
5. Wrap the dough in cling film and chill for at least 2 hours (or overnight for best results).

Step 2: Shape the pies
1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
2. Roll the chilled dough out on a lightly floured surface to about 3mm thickness.
3. Cut rectangles approximately 2.5 x 4 inches for the base.
4. For the “mummy bandages,” cut thin strips from the dough scraps.

Step 3: Assemble the mummies
1. Place the dough rectangles on a baking mat or parchment-lined tray.
2. Spread a layer of chocolate spread in the center, leaving a small border around the edges.
3. Brush the edges with egg wash.
4. Lay the dough strips across the top in a crisscross fashion to resemble mummy bandages, leaving small gaps for the “eyes” later.
5. Lightly brush the strips with egg wash.

Step 4: Bake
1. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
2. Let them cool completely before decorating.

Step 5: Decorate your spooky mummies
1. Melt the white chocolate gently over a double boiler or in the microwave.
2. Divide the melted chocolate into two bowls. Tint one bowl with Neon Green Oil-Based Food Color, and the other with Neon Orange, mixing until smooth.
3. Transfer each color into a piping bag. Pipe neon orange and neon green chocolate drips over the pastry strips.
4. Sprinkle generously with Wicked Witch sprinkle mix and Trick or Treat nonpareils.
5. Add candy eyeballs peeking out from between the pastry strips.
