How to Make Square Cupcakes Without a Cupcake Tray

Want to make adorable SQUARE CUPCAKES but don’t have a square cupcake tray? Good news, you don’t need one! In this tutorial, I’ll show you a simple hack using regular round cupcake liners and a standard cake pan. With just a few pinches and some smart arranging, you’ll have neatly shaped square cupcakes ready to impress your guests. 

Ingredients:
- Cupcake batter
- Standard round cupcake liners
- 9" x 13" cake pan

Step-by-Step Guide:
1.    Prepare Your Liners
Start with Standard Round cupcake liners.
Pinch four points along the edges to shape the liner into a rough square. If you don’t want to pinch one at a time, grab a small stack and pinch them all together to save time!
2.    Arrange in Cake Pan
Place the square-shaped liners into a 9” x 13” cake pan. You can usually fit about 15 liners snugly in one pan, depending on the size of your liners and how tightly they’re packed.
3.    Fill the Liners
Fill each liner about 2/3 full with your cupcake batter. Make sure the liners are standing up straight and well-supported by the surrounding ones so they keep their square shape while baking. 
4.    Bake
Bake according to your cupcake recipe’s directions. The tightly packed liners will help each cupcake bake into a nice square form.
5.    Cool and Serve
Let the cupcakes cool in the pan before removing. Then enjoy your cute square cupcakes.
