Easy Springtime Tray Bake Cake Recipe
Spring is the perfect season to bring pastel hues, floral designs, and a touch of whimsy to your bakes! In this recipe, we’ll focus on decorating a Spring Cake using garden stencils, pastel buttercream piping, and adorable sprinkles.
Ingredients:
- Self Raising Flour 170g
- Unsalted Butter 170g
- Caster Sugar 170g
- Egg 2nos
- Vanilla Cloud Flavoring 1tbsp
- Spring Bunnies Sprinkle Mix
- Garden Pattern Cookie Stencil
- Aluminium Foil Baking Pans With Lids
- Yellow, Peony Pink, Blue Bell Coloring
Instructions:
1. Put self-raising flour, butter, caster sugar, eggs, and Vanilla Cloud Flavoring all into the mixing bowl and beat until fully combined.
2. Put the cake batter into Aluminium foil baking pans.
3. Bake your cakes for around 35-40 minutes on the middle shelf at 180 degrees celcius.
4. After that, you can take a cocktail stick or bamboo skewer and push this into the center of the cake. If it comes out clean you know your cake is baked all the way through. You can then place your tins to let cool for a few minutes.
5. Apply a thin crumb coat of buttercream and let it set before decorating.
6. Place the garden stencil gently over the cake.
7. Using a spatula, dab colored buttercream onto the stencil, creating a soft, blended floral pattern.
8. Carefully lift the stencil to reveal the delicate spring-inspired print.
9. Fill piping bags and alternate colors while piping along the edges of the cake. Use a wavy ruffle or shell pattern for a dynamic and elegant look.
10. Sprinkle small sugar flowers, bunny-shaped sprinkles, and pearls over the borders for extra charm.
